Olea D3 Plus Drops 20ml is an supplement based on plant extracts and Vitamin D3. Indications:

Usage Tips:

it is recommended to take 1 drop once a day, or as advised by a doctor, under the tongue.

Warnings:

Keep out of reach of children under three years old. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The product should be used as part of a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Notes:

Absorption: Strongly fat-soluble, it is absorbed at the duodenal and jejunal level. The formulation of Olea D3, using extra virgin olive oil, allows for maximum absorption. With a dose of 10,000 IU per day, corresponding to 5 drops, administered during lunch, it is possible to increase serum levels from 20ng/ml to 80ng/ml in 3 months (from clinical experience). Cholecalciferol has a half-life of 12-18 days, while 1-25(OH)2 cholecalciferol has a very short half-life and is not deposited in tissues. The process of 1α-hydroxylation is limited, but this guarantees protection against potential intoxication.

Toxicity: Extremely rare, only above 200 ng/ml for long periods.

Actions: Vitamin D is a hormone that interacts with all cells that have on their membrane the specific receptor called VDR. These receptors are found in many tissues where vitamin D acts as a metabolic regulator or as a stimulator of repair in cases of inflammation (see figure 1).
VDR are present on all lymphocyte populations where vitamin D plays an important role in regulating the immune system. In fact:
1. it has a fundamental role in the initial nonspecific immune response against pathogens or tissue damage;
2. in Langerhans cells of the skin (dendritic cells), Vit. D attenuates antigen presentation to T lymphocytes;
3. promotes the differentiation of T lymphocytes towards Th2 rather than Th1 with consequent less tissue damage caused by the Th1 immune response;
4. regulates Th17 lymphocytes and therefore their production of IL17 which is essential for reducing inflammation and tissue damage in autoimmune disease;
5. stimulates the generation of regulatory T lymphocytes that produce IL10, leading to beneficial effects in autoimmunity and transplant rejection.

The vitamin D is indicated in the treatment of vitamin D and calcium deficiency
