Description
Gel for the prevention and supportive treatment of lesions caused by papillomavirus (HPV).
- Creates a defensive barrier that prevents the risk of HPV integration and the formation of new lesions.
- Supportive in reepithelialization of existing lesions.
- Stimulates the regeneration of the vaginal microbiota.
Papilocare is indicated for:
- controlling and helping to reepithelialize the transformation zone of the cervix to prevent the risk of lesions (LSIL) caused by HPV;
- supportive treatment of intraepithelial lesions caused by HPV;
- repair and help reepithelialize lesions of the cervico-vaginal mucosa;
- treat vaginal mucosal dryness;
- rebalance the vaginal microbiota;
- improve vaginal health;
- create conditions for rapid healing of injuries caused by rubbing due to burning or itching;
- form a protective film that quickly reduces discomfort, creating suitable conditions to promote the natural healing process.
The main components of the formulation are:
- substances that allow the formation of a mucoadhesive gel on the cervico-vaginal mucosa creating, on it, a protective film that enhances the barrier action of the product;
- hyaluronic acid niosomes, with tissue moisturizing action, which help preserve elasticity;
- beta-glucan niosomes: thanks to their antioxidant properties, they maintain the natural structure and function of the skin and mucous membranes;
- Centella asiatica phytosomes, with repairing action on injured mucous membranes;
- extract of Coriolus versicolor, with reepithelializing and repairing action on cervical-vaginal lesions and micro-lesions;
- neem extract, with emollient properties that promote the natural healing process;
- BioEcolia, a prebiotic that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacterial flora and rebalances the microbiota in the cervico-vaginal area;
- aloe vera extract with moisturizing, reepithelializing, and repairing action on the cervico-vaginal area.
The use of Papilocare is recommended for women (adults) positive for papillomavirus (HPV), regardless of the presence of virus-induced lesions (ASCUS or LSIL).

Directions for use
The duration of treatment is 6 months, with the possibility of extending the period further based on medical prescription. It is important to complete the entire treatment cycle to achieve the expected results.
It is recommended to start treatment after the menstrual cycle.
First month: apply one cannula per day for 21 consecutive days, then stop treatment for the following 7 days.
Subsequent months (from second to sixth): apply one cannula on alternate days for 21 days.
Discontinuing treatment with Papilocare during the menstrual cycle is recommended only for patient convenience; there are no clinical contraindications.
Preferably apply before sleeping.
Compatible with condom use.
Dispose of any cannula that is open or broken. The cannula is designed to facilitate product administration. Insert the cannula into the vagina and press to release the content. Then withdraw the cannula from the vagina, keeping it pressed to prevent the dispensed product from spilling.
Some gel may remain inside the cannula; this does not mean a lower dose was dispensed, as the cannula releases enough to cover the cervico-vaginal mucosa (3 ml). Dispose of the cannula after use. Do not reuse a used cannula nor share it with other patients.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children.
In case of pregnancy, consult a doctor.
Do not use if hypersensitivity to any of its components is known.
If discomfort occurs after application, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
No data are available on the use of Papilocare with contraceptives (e.g., vaginal ring or female condom), so use of Papilocare is not recommended for women using such contraceptives. In case of pregnancy, consult a doctor before using Papilocare and use it under strict medical supervision.

Storage
Store at temperatures between 2°C and 25°C.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 42 months.

Package containing 21 single-dose cannulas of 5 ml.
