COMPONENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS
Acacia Honey: indicated as a soothing agent for the upper respiratory tract as it is particularly rich in substances that promote the reparative processes of tissues (B vitamins and vitamin C, minerals such as magnesium, zinc, copper and selenium, amino acids).
In general, honey is an excellent anti-inflammatory for the throat and is indicated to alleviate and reduce the frequency of cough: it also possesses sedative properties.
1 g per dose Propolis e.s. 6% in galangin: has antibacterial properties (both as a bacteriostatic and bactericidal depending on the concentration, causing irreparable damage to bacterial cells) and antiviral (especially against influenza and Herpes Simplex viruses).
Elecampane e.f.: has an expectorant, mucolytic, emollient, and trophic action for the mucosa. These activities seem to be attributable to the sulfur glycosides contained in the plant itself. Grindelia e f.: the extracts have disinfectant, mucolytic, and spasmolytic properties on the bronchial smooth muscle. Considering these characteristics, grindelia is mainly indicated for the treatment of productive coughs and colds in the upper airways.
Sundew e f.: the main action of the substances present in this phytocomplex is to promote bronchodilation and thus improve breathing. It also has a sedative action on cough (of the peripheral type) and seems to possess a mild broad-spectrum antibacterial action. It is particularly indicated for the treatment of chronic bronchitis, laryngitis, asthma, and whooping cough.
Blackcurrant e.f.: in addition to the well-known antioxidant activities of the various substances that make up the phytocomplex of this shrub, Blackcurrant exerts important anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory actions as it is particularly rich in essential fatty acids with an excellent balance between gamma-linolenic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3).
