Its small size (useful length of the catheter 9 cm), makes it particularly suitable for users able to perform self-catheterization directly using the toilet.
Technical information
The product consists of a Thermoplastic Polyolefin called TPO, which is part of the Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) family.
TPO is an alloy of polyolefins and elastomeric polymers that provides PVC-like properties: softness, good flexibility, without the use of plasticizer additives (phthalates), good transparency, and resistance to kinking.
They exhibit a high level of biocompatibility because they meet the following requirements:
• USP Class VI
• USP Physicochemical tests for plastics
• ISO 10993
They do not show cytotoxic activity and do not cause skin irritation.
They also do not provoke skin sensitization phenomena.
The product features two urine drainage holes that are very close to the end of the catheter and allow for quick and complete bladder emptying.
The catheter has a hydrophilic coating made of glycerin and water and is already ready to use.
The hydrophilic coating eliminates activation time and ensures a low coefficient of friction, for the entire duration of catheterization, allowing easy and safe insertion and atraumatic removal.
The high hydration of the coating prevents any risk of the catheter sticking to the urethral wall; this is particularly advantageous during the extraction maneuver in subjects who, due to particular functional limitations, need a long time to perform self-catheterization.
The catheter appears completely and uniformly lubricated, already ready to use, without the need for additional maneuvers to induce lubrication (activation of the hydrophilic substrate).
The plastic packaging has a break seam that allows for a secure and easy opening of the package at the connector point, the handle of the catheter.
In case of need, the catheter can be connected to a normal urine collection bag.

The partnered courier GLS will collect the goods purchased on pillolastore.com from the OMEOSEI Srl warehouse. The delivery address is specified during the order confirmation (checkout) by the customer. Please fill in the destination details correctly to avoid failed deliveries or storage issues.
