FRONTLINE COMBO SPOT-ON CATS/FERRETS 6PIPETTES

Active ingredients
Each 0.5 ml pipette contains: fipronil 50.00 mg, (S)-methoprene 60.00 mg, butylhydroxyanisole (E320) 0.10 mg, butylhydroxy-toluene (E321) 0.05 mg.
Excipients
Butylhydroxyanisole (E320), butylhydroxy-toluene (E321), ethanol, polysorbate 80 (E433), povidone, monoethyl ether of polyethylene glycol.
Indications
CATS: for use against flea infestations, alone or combined with ticks and biting lice. Eliminates fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal activity against new infestations of adult fleas persists for 4 weeks. Prevents flea multiplication by inhibiting egg development (ovicidal activity), pupae, and larvae (larvicidal activity) born from eggs laid by adult fleas, for 6 weeks after application. Eliminates ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has a persistent activity against ticks for up to 2 weeks (based on experimental data). Eliminates biting lice (Felicola subrostratus). The product can be used in the Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) control program. FERRETS: for use against flea infestations, alone or combined with ticks. Eliminates fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal activity against new infestations of adult fleas persists for 4 weeks. Prevents flea multiplication by inhibiting egg development (ovicidal activity), pupae, and larvae (larvicidal activity) born from eggs laid by adult fleas. Eliminates ticks (Ixodes ricinus). The product has an acaricidal activity against ticks, lasting for 4 weeks (based on experimental data).
Contraindications/side effects
In the absence of data, do not use the product on kittens under 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use the product on ferrets under 6 months old. Do not use on sick animals (e.g., systemic diseases, fever) or convalescent animals. Do not use on rabbits, as potentially life-threatening adverse reactions may occur. In the absence of studies, it is recommended not to use the product in species other than the intended ones.

Usage / administration route
Topical.
Dosing
One 0.5 ml pipette per cat, corresponding to the minimum recommended dose of 5 mg/kg of fipronil and 6 mg/kg of (S)-methoprene, applied topically. In the absence of safety data, the minimum treatment interval should be 4 weeks. One 0.5 ml pipette per ferret, corresponding to 50 mg of fipronil and 60 mg of (S)-methoprene, applied topically. The minimum treatment interval should be 4 weeks. Administration method: keep the pipette upright and gently tap the narrow part of the pipette so that the liquid remains in the wide part. Break the pre-cut tip. Part the fur at the base of the neck, on the back of the animal, between the shoulder blades, and expose the skin. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press the pipette several times until completely empty, applying the product at a single point directly on the skin.
Storage
Store below 30°C. Keep in its original packaging.
Precautions
Avoid contact with the animal's eyes. It is important that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick it and to prevent animals from licking each other after treatment. For cats and ferrets, no information is available on how many water immersions or baths can interfere with the product's activity. However, based on data from dogs washed 2 days after application, it is recommended to avoid baths for 2 days after application of the product. Individual ticks may attach to the cat. Therefore, under adverse conditions, disease transmission cannot be entirely ruled out. Fleas on animals often infest the pet’s basket, blankets, and areas where the animal lives, such as carpets, curtains, and upholstery fabrics; these, in case of heavy infestations and at the start of antiparasitic treatment, should be treated with a specific insecticide and regularly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. The potential toxicity to kittens under 8 weeks old in contact with a treated mother is not documented. Therefore, particular caution is advised in such cases. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: the product may cause irritation to mucous membranes, skin, and eyes. Avoid contact with mouth, skin, and eyes. Avoid contact with sensitive animals or people. Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands thoroughly after use. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Wash hands after use. Do not touch animals or let children play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is recommended to treat animals in the evening and, if just treated, to prevent them from sleeping with owners, especially children. Do not smoke, eat, or drink during application. Overdose: the risk of adverse effects may increase with overdose. Cats: in safety studies, no adverse effects were observed in cats and kittens 8 weeks and older, weighing approximately 1 kg, treated once a month with doses five times higher than the recommended dose for six consecutive months. Pruritus may occur after treatment. Applying a dose higher than recommended results in a damp and sticky appearance of the coat at the application site. However, if this occurs, it will resolve within 24 hours of application. Ferrets: in ferrets aged 6 months and older, treated every 2 weeks four times at doses five times higher than recommended, there was a decrease in body weight observed in some subjects.

Undesirable effects
Cats: among the extremely rare events of suspected adverse reactions, transient skin reactions at the application site (desquamation, localized hair loss, pruritus, redness) and general pruritus or hair loss after application have been described. Salivation, reversible neurological symptoms (increased sensitivity to stimuli, depression, other nervous symptoms), or vomiting have also been observed. If animals lick themselves, transient hypersalivation may be seen, mainly due to the excipients of the product.
Pregnancy and lactation
Cats: the product can be used during pregnancy. Laboratory studies on cats have shown no evidence of teratogenic, fetotoxic, or maternal toxic effects. Lactation: the potential toxicity to kittens under 8 weeks old in contact with a treated mother is not documented. Therefore, particular caution is advised. Ferrets: the safety of the veterinary medicinal product during pregnancy and lactation in ferrets has not been established. Use only according to a risk/benefit assessment.

Shipping and Delivery Methods
