Usage Mode
Before measuring the temperature, verify that the value indicated by the liquid column is below 36°C. Clean the glass thermometer before and after use. Follow cleaning warnings. Place the thermometer on the body, depending on the desired measurement type (axillary, rectal, or oral). After about 4 minutes, the thermometer indicates the body temperature. The measuring liquid in the thermometer's capillary shows the measured temperature on the temperature scale. The temperature reading can be facilitated by slightly rotating the thermometer. After measurement, the indicator liquid should be brought below 36°C. To do this, grasp the upper end of the thermometer with the index finger and thumb and shake it with about 15-20 quick wrist movements.
Always disinfect the thermometer before and after use. In hospitals, disinfection should always be performed by trained personnel.
Oral measurement: The average normal temperature recorded is 37°C. Provides quick, accurate results. The bulb of the thermometer is placed on the left or right under the tongue.
Rectal measurement: The average normal temperature is 37.6°C. This type of measurement is mainly used for children. The thermometer bulb is inserted into the anus (about 2 cm), applying a skin cream or baby oil to the bulb tip. A protective cover can be used for the thermometer. Insert the thermometer into this cover. Spread a water-soluble gel on the cover to facilitate insertion. Do not use Vaseline. Do not insert the tip of the thermometer more than 2 cm into the rectum. Stop if any resistance is met.
Axillary measurement: The average normal temperature is 36.7°C. The axillary measurement method does not provide as accurate results as oral or rectal methods. Rub the armpit cavity with a dry cloth. Place the thermometer bulb in the armpit cavity and press the arm against the torso.
Easy flip: with the Easy flip, you can easily reset the measured liquid of the thermometer by shaking it with less force: insert the thermometer into the Easy flip; ensure the thermometer is secured in the two supports; hold the Easy flip steady on the lever between thumb and index finger; shake the thermometer back and forth with strong, short movements until the liquid is below 36°C.

Cleaning and Disinfection
The thermometer has a hygienic glass cover with an airtight seal and can be disinfected indefinitely. The temperature of the cleaning and disinfectant solution must not exceed 42°C. The glass thermometer can be cleaned before and after use with cold soapy water. Disinfect the thermometer with a cotton ball or cloth soaked in alcohol or by immersing it in a disinfectant solution (immersion time depending on manufacturer instructions). In case of breakage, the spilled liquid can be gathered and removed with a brush, a cellulose cloth, or a fabric cloth dampened with soapy water. The residues can be disposed of in household waste.

Warnings
Do not drop the thermometer or subject it to shocks. Do not bend the tip of the thermometer or bite it. Keep out of reach of children. Damaged glass-covered thermometers must no longer be used due to the risk of injury. Throughout use, the child must always be supervised by an adult. The Galinstan measuring liquid should not contact noble or light metals to avoid reaction risks. During measurement, be very careful to prevent any injury risk. The use of the thermometer does not replace medical consultation. Persistent fever, especially in children, requires medical attention.

Storage
Store at a temperature between -15°C and +42°C in a dry place.
