Hydrogel with Sterile Applicator

Description
Sterile gel made from natural hydrocolloids (pectin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose) dispersed in a transparent and viscous substrate.
The gel is designed for hydration and management of partial-thickness and full-thickness wounds such as leg ulcers and pressure sores.
The gel creates a moist healing environment that helps promote natural autolytic debridement processes.

Method of use
Thoroughly clean the wound with water or saline solution, according to the protocol in use.
Dry the surrounding skin.
Unscrew the cap.
Remove and dispose of the white protective ring and, with the same cap, puncture the tube's membrane.
Apply the gel directly onto the wound. Some packages contain a sterile nozzle applicator. The applicator can be attached to the tube neck to facilitate application in deeper wounds. Do not fill the wound beyond the level of the perilesional skin.
An optimal healing environment can be created by covering the wound with a dressing that retains moisture.
The gel should be changed at the first signs of gel loss from the edges of the covering dressing or at routine dressing changes.
The gel can be easily removed with a sterile saline solution.
It is recommended to renew the gel at most every three days if the wound is cloudy or necrotic, and at most every seven days if it is clean and/or grainy.

Contraindicated in individuals with known sensitivity to the gel or its components.
Sterility is guaranteed unless the container is opened or damaged before use.
If the primary packaging is damaged, do not use the product.
The use of this device is strictly for a single patient or a single wound and must not be reused.
Reuse may increase the risk of infection or cross-contamination, and the physical properties of the device may not be optimal for the intended use.
Colonization of chronic wounds is a common phenomenon and does not contraindicate the use of the gel.
If an infection is suspected or develops during use of the gel, appropriate antibiotic therapy should be initiated.
The gel can continue to be used, but the wound's progression should be monitored by a doctor.
The safety of the gel in third-degree burns has not been established.
The gel should be used with caution in deep wounds with narrow openings, such as fistulas, where removal of the gel may be difficult.
By maintaining a moist environment, the gel promotes necrotic tissue removal.
This may cause the wound to appear larger after the initial applications.
The gel is for external use only and should not be used internally.

You can then pay the total amount in cash to the courier upon delivery. For bank transfer payments, there are no additional costs in the order, but your bank may apply its usual transfer fee.


How can I know when my order will arrive?

You can track your order shipment using the tracking code you will receive via email. The courier will make two delivery attempts, after which the package will be stored at the nearest GLS office. In this case, you will need to pick up the package from the office to avoid the order being returned to us and incurring additional costs.


Can I return a product?

Of course, if you are not satisfied with a product, you can return it within 14 days from the delivery date. If you wish to return a product, you can send back the unopened, unused, and undamaged product. For the shipment, you can choose a courier of your choice at your expense, send it back to us, and once the product's condition has been checked, the product amount will be refunded. If the returned product is not in perfect condition, the product amount cannot be refunded. Shipping costs for the original order will not be refunded. In case of delivery errors, the return will be completely at our expense.

GLS Express Courier for Pickup/Delivery Service

The partnered courier GLS will collect the goods purchased on pillolastore.com from the OMEOSEI Srl warehouse. The delivery address is specified during the order confirmation (checkout) by the customer. Please fill in the destination details correctly to avoid failed deliveries or storage issues.


Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are €0.99 for orders over €25 and €5.99 for orders below €25. Please note that shipments are not insured. If you wish to have insured shipping, you need to check the "Insured Shipping" option available on the payment page, under the "Additional Costs" section. The surcharge for insured shipping is €5.
