DESCRIPTION
Fleas: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.) Fleas on dogs are killed within 24 hours of treatment. One treatment prevents the infestation of new adult parasites for four weeks. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for controlling Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) when this has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian.
Ticks: One treatment prevents tick infestation for four weeks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). If ticks are present when the product is applied, not all ticks are knocked down within the first 48 hours, but they can be killed within a week. The treatment indirectly reduces the risk of transmission of diseases transmitted by infected ticks for four weeks after application (canine babesiosis).
Sandflies and Mosquitoes: One treatment provides a repellent (anti-bite) activity against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti) for four weeks.
Dosage:
The minimum recommended dose is 6.7 mg of fipronil / kg of body weight and 60 mg of permethrin / kg b.w.

Method of use
Hold the pipette in an upright position. Shake the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are within the wider part of the pipette. Break the seal at the top of the spot-on pipette along the marked line.
Part the dog's hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly against the exposed skin and gently squeeze several times to empty the contents. Repeat the procedure at one or two different points on the dog's back.
Care should be taken to avoid excessive dampening of the hair with the product as this will cause a sticky appearance of the hair at the application site. Nevertheless, if this should occur, it will disappear within 24 hours after application.
White deposits may be present at the application site for up to 48 hours after application.
Contraindications
In the absence of available data, do not use in puppies under 2 months of age or weighing less than 3 kg.
Do not use on sick animals (i.e., systemic diseases, fever…) or recovering.
Do not use on rabbits, as adverse reactions and even death may occur.
This product is specifically developed for dogs. Do not use on cats, as overdosing may occur.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or to any of the excipients.
Adverse reactions
If licking occurs, a brief period of hypersalivation may be observed mainly due to the nature of the excipients.
Among the extremely rare suspected adverse reactions reported after use, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, localized alopecia, itching, erythema) general itching and alopecia have been reported. After use, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms), vomiting, and respiratory symptoms have been reported exceptionally.
If severe adverse reactions or other reactions not mentioned in this leaflet occur, please inform the veterinarian.
Special warnings for each target species:
Shampooing one hour before treatment does not affect the effectiveness of the product against fleas.
Baths or immersions in water within 2 days after application of the product should be avoided.
Weekly immersion in water for 1 minute reduces the duration of insecticidal effectiveness against fleas by one week.
The product does not prevent tick attacks on animals. If the animal has been treated before exposure to ticks, these will be killed within the first 24-48 hours after the attack. This will happen before the meal is completed, reducing but not excluding the risk of transmission of diseases. Once dead, ticks will fall off the animals, any remaining ticks can be easily removed by gently pulling them.
Dog fleas often infest the animal's bedding, cushions or resting areas such as carpets and pillows which, in cases of massive infestations, should be treated at the beginning of implementing control measures with appropriate insecticides and cleaned regularly.
When used as part of a strategic program for the treatment of Flea Allergy Dermatitis, monthly application to allergic patients and other dogs in the family is recommended.
For optimal control of flea infestation in the presence of promiscuous groups of animals, all dogs and cats in the family/group must be treated with an appropriate insecticide.
Special precautions for use in animals:
Animals must be accurately weighed before treatment.
Avoid contact with the eyes of animals. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, wash immediately and thoroughly with water.
It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick it and ensure that animals do not lick each other after treatment.
