Description

The flat plate with Mouldable Technology Esteem synergy consists of a trilaminar adhesive central disc made up of:
- a top layer in Durahesive Technology
- an intermediate layer in Polyethylene Film
- a contact layer with the skin in Stomahesive Technology.
The support ring is surrounded by a flexible microporous adhesive patch fully coated with a thin layer of hydrocolloid in contact with the skin. Thanks to the exclusive Mouldable Technology, the adhesive of the skin barrier adapts to the shape and size of the stoma simply by moulding the adhesive with your fingers, without the need for scissors. Additionally, thanks to the exclusive adhesive fixing technology ACT (Adhesive Coupling Technology), the plate and collection bag attach via an adhesive mechanism. This system simultaneously guarantees: secure hold; skin protection; ease of use; atraumatic application and removal; hermetic closure against liquid and odor leaks; and finally flexibility and discretion.

Technical features
- The mouldable adhesive, thanks to Elastic Memory Technology (Rebounding Moldable Technology), gently hugs the contour of the stoma, safely and personally adapting to it, minimizing the risk of leaks.
- The top layer in Durahesive Technology; when in contact with effluents, it swells, absorbing moisture and forming a characteristic collar (“turtle neck effect”) around the stoma, protecting it from contact with effluents and prolonging the device's in situ duration.
- The layer in contact with the skin in Stomahesive Technology; provides high skin protection.
- The ultra-thin profile of the hydrocolloid patch makes this device particularly suitable for patients with an irregular abdominal profile or a rounded abdomen, ensuring maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
Skin preparation is easy and quick, especially for patients with irregular stomas or limited manual dexterity, and does not require rulers or scissors. The skin barrier is waterproof and can be worn during bathing or showering. Moreover, the ACT adhesive fixing technology, by eliminating the need for a rigid plastic flange, offers the patient the best combination of advantages of traditional one-piece and two-piece systems: maximum skin protection in the peristomal area, maximum security against leaks, maximum comfort, flexibility, and discretion.
Skin barrier with Mouldable Technology, with a trilaminar central disc (top in Durahesive Technology, middle in polyethylene film, bottom in Stomahesive Technology) and flexible hydrocolloid patch made of breathable (microporous) polyester on which an adhesive hydrocolloid layer is present.
On the outer side of the plates, a transparent plastic film is sealed, which forms the attachment base for the collection bag. This film is floating relative to the rest of the plate to ensure a smooth adhesion surface even with irregular abdomens.
Each plate is individually packaged in a shaped blister.
