ETINERV SMP is a food supplement of α-lipoic acid, acetyl L-Carnitine, Zinc, Nervonic acid, Vaccinium myrtillus, Vitamins B3, B6, B12 and Selenium useful for supporting the good functionality of the central, peripheral and ocular nervous tissue, facilitating protective and reparative processes.

COMPONENTS AND CHARACTERISTICS

Alpha-lipoic acid: it is an important co-factor of the Krebs cycle and a powerful antioxidant that is rapidly absorbed after oral administration. It seems to prevent damage caused by oxidative stress at the level of the central and peripheral nervous system. Its use is responsible for cellular functionality, promotes glucose utilization and energy production at the neuronal level, also increasing the synthesis of neurotransmitters.

Acetyl L-Carnitine: it is an important physiological cofactor necessary for the activity of mitochondria (the energy center of cells). It is a useful supplement in all cases of deficiency acting centrally and peripherally, supporting the therapy of mechanical and inflammatory nerve injuries,
primary cerebral involutive syndromes (premature aging) or secondary to vascular diseases. In addition to its therapeutic effects, acetyl L-Carnitine seems capable of stimulating neuronal growth and repair factors (NGF) and protecting the nervous system from oxidative damage.

Zinc: it is an essential mineral, present in the body in quantities greater than any other trace element outside of iron and is present in all tissues. It performs various functions: it is related to the normal absorption and action of vitamins, especially those of the B complex; it is a constitutive element of many metalloproteases; it is important in DNA synthesis and is a component of insulin.

Nervonic acid: it is a monounsaturated fatty acid of marine origin, precursor of membrane glycolipids. The main properties attributed to it are the regeneration of the myelin sheath and the general improvement of brain functions, therefore it represents an excellent alternative for the supportive treatment of neuro-muscular diseases and anti-aging.

Vaccinium myrtillus: the main actions exerted by this phytocomplex are protective towards the peripheral venous microcirculation, promoting the normalization of resistance and elasticity of the vessel walls and also an anti-radical action.
