Food supplement with extracts of morinda citrifolia, elderberry, blackcurrant, echinacea angustifolia, and lactic acid bacteria with antioxidant activity and immunostimulating properties, supportive in the treatment and prevention of seasonal infections of the upper respiratory tract and useful in conditions of weakened immune defenses, in pediatrics and during chronic and neoplastic diseases.
      Lactoferrin
Its main action is to stimulate the immune system. Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein (human is composed of 691 AA) that binds 2 atoms of Fe2+; it is present in breast milk and in many secretions (tears, nasal exudate, saliva, bronchial secretions, gastrointestinal juice, cervico-vaginal mucus, and seminal fluid). It is also synthesized in white blood cells which release it at sites where an infectious process exists. Immunostimulant action: it can promote the growth and differentiation of helper T lymphocytes, CD4 and CD8, which in turn stimulate the antibody response by B lymphocytes; it also appears to have an important role in the release and regulation of all chemical mediators (cytokines, interleukins, linfochines, and TNF) involved in recruiting immune system cells in case of infections or inflammations. Bactericidal action: by making free iron unavailable, an essential element for the growth of pathogenic bacteria, it makes such species more vulnerable to antibiotics (an important example is the easier eradication of Helicobacter pylori achievable with the intake of lactoferrin during antibiotic therapy); furthermore, a derivative of lactoferrin, lactoferricin (resulting from enzymatic digestion of lactoferrin), seems to exert its own antibacterial action.
      Morinda Citrifolia L. (Noni)
Equipped with numerous biological activities, of particular interest are its immunomodulatory, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties. The main components derived from the fruit and leaves include: terpenoids, flavonoids, linoleic acid, β-sitosterol, scopoletin, ursolic acid, proxeranine.
      Ribes Nigrum L.
The extract of blackcurrant juice, rich in minerals, vitamin C, and phenolic components, has documented antioxidant, immunomodulating, and antimicrobial activity. In vitro studies demonstrate a stimulating action on macrophages and innate immunity. Active components: phenolic components such as anthocyanins, flavonoids, ellagitannins, gallotannins, proanthocyanidins, phenolic acids, and polysaccharide extracts.
      Lactic acid bacteria
The intake of lactic acid bacteria is a fundamental aid in all situations of altered balance of intestinal microflora. Bioimmunas Plus provides comprehensive and balanced support with lyophilized lactic acid bacteria combined with the positive effect of FOS as prebiotics and vitamin C.
      Echinacea angustifolia
Equipped with activity to stimulate innate and adaptive immunity through the phagocytic stimulation of macrophages and the release of cytokines including interferon-gamma, exerting a supporting role in opportunistic infections, rhinovirus infections, and viral diseases of the upper respiratory tract. Active components: alkaloid derivatives and caffeic acid.
      Sambucus Nigra L.
Known for its antioxidant, antiviral, antiproliferative (in vitro), and antimicrobial properties, black elderberry has immune-stimulating and antioxidant actions and can support the course of cold and flu diseases (in vitro studies show anti-H1N1 viral activity) by stimulating the production of anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory cytokines with a immune-protective action. The extract of black elderberry is useful in subjects with decreased immune system efficiency, in pediatrics, and during various infectious and neoplastic pathological conditions. Active components: polyphenols derived from the fruit, including flavonoids (hyperoside, isoquercitrin, and rutoside) and anthocyanins.

Usage instructions
Children: one sachet per day to dissolve in half a glass of water or fruit juice.
Adults: two sachets per day (one in the morning and one in the evening) to dissolve in half a glass of water.
Preferably take on an empty stomach.
