Indications
Treatment of ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Amblyomma americanum), sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus, Lutzomya cruzi, L. corumbaensis), mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti, A. taeniorhynchus), flies (Stomoxys calcitrans and Musca domestica), fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and C. canis), and lice in dogs. Regular use of EXSPOT, at monthly intervals, eliminates ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes, flies, fleas, and lice and ensures protection from reinfestation for up to 4 weeks.
Contraindications/side Effects
Do not use in puppies under 2 weeks of age. Do not use in cats. Avoid contact between treated dogs and cats recently treated. Do not use on sick, convalescent animals or those with extensive skin lesions. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients.

Dogs weighing between 2.5 kg and 14 kg: 1 pipette of 1 ml, corresponding to a maximum dose of permethrin of 286 mg/kg (dogs of 2.5 kg) and minimum of 51 mg/Kg (dogs of 14 kg). Dogs weighing between 15 and 29 kg: 2 pipettes of 1 ml, corresponding to a maximum dose of permethrin of 95.3 mg/kg (dogs of 15 kg) and minimum of 49.3 mg/Kg (dogs of 29 kg), or alternatively, 1 pipette of 2 ml. Dogs weighing between 30 and 40 kg: 3 pipettes of 1 ml, corresponding to a maximum dose of permethrin of 71.5 mg/kg (dogs of 30 kg) and minimum of 53.6 mg/Kg (dogs of 40 kg). Dogs weighing over 41 kg up to 55 kg: 2 pipettes of 2 ml, corresponding to a maximum dose of permethrin of 69.7 mg/kg (dogs of 41 kg) and minimum of 52 mg/Kg (dogs of 55 kg). To be used only as a spot-on. Open the bag and take the pipette. For easier application, the animal should be kept standing. With one hand, hold the pipette upright, away from the face and break off the top of the pipette to open it, bending and folding it back on itself. Part the hair until the skin is visible and place the tip of the pipette directly on the skin of the dog, applying the product according to the following instructions. Firmly squeeze the pipettes until the entire contents are emptied directly onto the skin of the back. Apply the contents of the individual pipettes in four different points along the dorsal line, starting from the area between the two shoulder blades to the area of the croup, at the base of the tail, ensuring that the product does not run onto the hair. The interval between one treatment and the next will depend on the severity of the infestation and the parasite. Regular use, at monthly intervals, eliminates ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes, flies, fleas, and lice and provides protection for up to 4 weeks against reinfestation. The use of non-medicated shampoos before applying this product does not negatively affect the product's effectiveness. If the dog is bathed or sponged, the protection period is reduced depending on the amount of water that has come into contact with the skin. It can be applied at intervals of no less than 2 weeks, without causing side effects or symptoms of poisoning. To reduce reinfestations, it is recommended to treat all dogs in the home environment and all cohabitating pets in the same environment with an appropriate product. Additionally, adequate environmental treatment against adult fleas and their developing stages (immature forms) is recommended.

Warnings
Treated dogs should not enter water for 12 hours after treatment. It must be applied directly to the skin. Avoid application on the hair. For precautionary reasons, it is not recommended to repeat the treatment more than 4 times in 3 months. Avoid contact with the eyes and mouth of treated dogs. Avoid treated animals, or animals in contact with them, licking the application site. It is extremely toxic to cats and may be fatal, due to the inability of cats to metabolize permethrin. Prevent cats from licking the application site of treated dogs. If this occurs, consult a veterinarian immediately. Treated dogs should be kept away from cats until the application site has dried. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: avoid direct contact with the hands, use protective gloves. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. After each application and in case of skin contact, wash hands thoroughly with water and soap. In the case of multiple applications (for example, in kennels), it is advisable for operators to wear protective neoprene or nitrile gloves with a minimum thickness of 0.3 mm. Do not come into contact with the application area for 3-6 hours after treatment. It is preferable to treat in the evening. Treated dogs should not sleep with people, especially children. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using the product. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor and show them the container and label. Do not contaminate food, drinks, or containers intended to hold them. For external use only. People with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient should avoid contact with the veterinary medicine. Treated animals should not be handled, particularly by children, until the application site is dry. Overdose: clinical signs of overdose are typical of pyrethroid toxicity and are the same as those already described. There is no specific antidote for pyrethroid poisoning.

Side Effects
The active ingredient permethrin contained in the product may cause skin hypersensitivity reactions such as itching, dermatitis, eczema, rashes, hair loss, and redness at the application site. Often these symptoms are accompanied by hyperactivity in treated animals. In very rare cases, dogs may show hypersalivation, gastrointestinal symptoms (decreased appetite, anorexia, diarrhea, vomiting), neurological symptoms (lethargy, incoordination, muscle tremors, disorientation, hyperesthesia, paresis, ataxia), and behavioral changes (restlessness, urinary incontinence, aggression). In such events, it is advisable to thoroughly wash the animal (bath). The excipient contained in the product is usually well tolerated locally and only in exceptional cases may induce skin hypersensitization.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Do not use on lactating female dogs. In pregnant dogs, use only according to the risk/benefit assessment.
