Therapeutic Indications:
For the treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations where repellent activity (anti-feeding) against sandflies, horseflies and/or mosquitoes is necessary. For the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas Ctenocephalides felis and the prevention of infestations from fleas Ctenocephalides canis. The product eliminates fleas C. felis present on the animal within 24 hours. One treatment prevents subsequent flea infestations for 4 weeks. The product can be used as part of a strategic treatment for flea allergy dermatitis where it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian. The product has repellent efficacy against ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus) for 7 days and up to 4 weeks after treatment. However, individual ticks may attach to the dog and detach in the first 24 hours after infestation. The product has immediate acaricidal efficacy against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus, but it is possible that not all ticks are eliminated within 48 hours of treatment if they are already present at the time of application of the product. The product has a persistent acaricidal efficacy against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for 4 weeks. The product has a repellent efficacy (anti-feeding) for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and for 4 weeks against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens). The product has a persistent insecticidal efficacy for 3 weeks against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus). The product repels and eliminates horseflies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for five weeks.
Contraindications/Side Effects:
Do not use in sick or convalescent animals. Do not use in cats or rabbits, as potentially fatal adverse reactions may occur. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients.
Dosage:
For topical dermal application. Animals must always be treated with the pipette of the correct size corresponding to their body weight. For dogs weighing over 60 kg, use the correct combination of two pipette sizes that corresponds as closely as possible to the dog's body weight. Treatment schedule: the use of the product should be based on the treatment of a confirmed infestation or on a risk of flea and/or tick infestation, where repellent activity (anti-feeding) against sandflies and/or mosquitoes and/or horseflies is also necessary. Repeated treatment may be indicated based on exposure to ectoparasites. In these cases, the interval between two consecutive treatments should be at least 4 weeks.
Storage:
Store in the original blister. Do not store at temperatures above 25 degrees C.
Warnings:
It is possible for individual ticks to attach or for individual sandflies or mosquitoes to bite the dog. For this reason, if particularly unfavorable conditions occur, it is not possible to completely exclude the transmission of pathogens through these arthropods. The product maintains efficacy against fleas when treated animals are subjected to occasional immersion in water (e.g., swimming, bathing). However, it is recommended not to wash or allow dogs to swim in the 48 hours following the treatment. Avoid subjecting treated dogs to frequent baths or washes, as these can negatively affect the maintenance of the product's efficacy. To reduce reinfestations due to the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all cohabitating dogs. Other animals living in the same household should also be treated with an appropriate product. To further contribute to reducing environmental infestation, it is additionally recommended to use targeted environmental treatment against adult fleas and their larval stages. In the absence of specific studies, the use of the product is not recommended in dogs under 8 weeks of age or in dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Take care to avoid contact of the product with the dog's eyes. It is important to ensure that the product is applied in an area where the animal cannot lick itself and to ensure that other animals do not lick the treated area after application. In cats, the product may cause potentially fatal seizures due to the presence of permethrin. In case of accidental skin exposure, wash the cat with shampoo or soap and seek veterinary care promptly. To prevent cats from being accidentally exposed to the product, separate treated dogs from cats until the application site is dry. It is important to ensure that cats do not lick the application site of a dog that has been treated with this product. In case of such exposure, seek veterinary care immediately. The product may have negative effects on aquatic organisms. Do not allow treated dogs to enter watercourses for 2 days following treatment. Special precautions for those administering the product to animals: this product may cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Therefore, avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not open the pipette facing the face or near it. In case of eye exposure or if the eyes become irritated during administration, rinse them immediately with plenty of water. If eye irritation persists, consult a physician. In case of skin exposure or if the skin becomes irritated during administration of the product, wash the skin thoroughly immediately with water and soap. If skin irritation persists or recurs, consult a physician. Individuals with known hypersensitivity to fipronil and/or permethrin should avoid contact with the product. The product is harmful if swallowed. Avoid hand-mouth contact. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application. Wash hands after use. In case of ingestion, if feeling unwell, rinse the mouth and consult a physician. Since in the event of significant exposure, the excipient N-methylpyrrolidone may induce fetotoxicity and teratogenicity, pregnant women should wear gloves to avoid contact with the product. Do not touch treated animals until the application site is dry, and do not allow children to play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore recommended not to treat animals during the day but to treat them in the early evening hours and not to allow recently treated animals to sleep with the owners, especially with children. Keep pipettes in the original blister and, after use, empty pipettes should be immediately disposed of properly to prevent further access. Overdose: safety has been demonstrated with doses up to 5 times the maximum exposure dose in healthy adult dogs and puppies. Transient side effects such as mild neurological disturbances, vomiting, and diarrhea may occur but resolve without treatment within 1-2 days.

Among the very rare adverse reactions, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin discoloration, localized alopecia, itching, redness) and generalized itching or alopecia have been observed following use. Excessive salivation, reversible neurological disturbances (increased sensitivity to stimuli, hyperactivity, muscle tremors, depression, other nervous disturbances) or vomiting have also been observed after use. If the dog licks the application site, transient hypersalivation and vomiting may occur.
