Description
Medical device class IIb.
Sterile saline solution, with physiological pH, for ocular and periocular use. It is a helpful aid for removing periocular and ocular secretions of the newborn from the first days of life, infants and children (therefore from 0 to 6 years of age). The product can also be used by children over 6 years old, adolescents, adults, and the elderly (i.e., over 65 years).
The instillation of GSE EYE BABY SPRAY softens and washes away the secretions present on the ocular surface, in the conjunctival fornices, and on the eyelid margin. It performs a dilating, decongestant, and hydrating action to increase the volume of tears.
GSE EYE BABY SPRAY contains distillate waters of eyebright and echinacea that contribute to the wetting effect thanks to their hydrating action.
It is compatible with soft contact lenses.
Preservative-free.

Directions for use
Wash and dry hands thoroughly before use.
Hold the bottle so that the finger used for dispensing (index or thumb) is well positioned on the actuator and does not cover the nebulization opening. Keep the bottle upright and apply steady pressure on the actuator to nebulize the solution.
In case of direct application into the eye, spray the product at a distance of about 10 cm from the eye.
During the first use, spray several times into the air until a regular nebulization of the product is observed.
If storing at a temperature below 15°C, if the product is intended for use on children, hold the bottle in your hands for a few minutes to bring the product to room temperature, to prevent the child from experiencing an unpleasant cold sensation.

Use the product as follows:
- for rinsing the periocular area instead of conventional moistened or soaked wipes: spray 1 or 2 bursts of solution onto a sterile gauze and use it to immediately and gently clean the area around the eyes, removing any secretions. Avoid rubbing forcefully but soften dry secretions with the soaked gauze until they can be removed. Use a different gauze for each eye;
- for rinsing the eye: spray 1 or 2 bursts of product into each eye, open or closed: opening the eye and blinking, caused by increased tear volume, allows the product to wash the surface of the eye, removing foreign particles along with excess fluid; spraying with the eye closed traps the liquid in the eyelid slit, which contacts the ocular surface through blinking, increasing tear volume and allowing the product to wash the eye surface away from foreign particles together with excess fluid;
- to relieve discomfort or redness: spray 1 or 2 bursts of product into each eye.

Components
Sodium chloride (0.82%), vitamin E TPGS, distilled water of Echinacea pallida, distilled water of eyebright, zinc sulfate heptahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate tribasic dihydrate, water for injections.

Warnings
The product is strictly for ophthalmic or periocular use.
The product is single-use.
Do not use if the bottle appears, at the time of first opening, damaged or not perfectly closed.
During use, avoid touching the eye or other surfaces with the nebulizer surface of the dispenser.
Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
In case of adverse effects during use, suspend treatment and consult a doctor.
Do not use the product if you have known incompatibility with any component of the formulation and/or plants from the Asteraceae and/or Orobanchaceae families.
No interactions with medicines or other eye drops are reported; in any case, wait at least 15 minutes before administering any other eye drops.
Dispose of the product according to local waste management regulations.
Keep out of reach of children.
Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
For external use, do not swallow.
Do not tamper with or damage the bottle and its mechanisms.
GSE EYE BABY SPRAY does not replace any pharmacological therapy prescribed by a doctor.
Any serious incident related to the device must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authorities of the member state where you are established.

Storage
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C in a dry place, away from heat, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight.
Post-opening validity: 3 months.
