K-Perle 60cps
The K-Perle are small soft gelatinous pearls, each containing 75 μg of pure vitamin K2 (Menaquinone MK-7). Vitamin K2 is dissolved in cold-pressed olive oil to enhance absorption. The size of the pearl makes it easy to swallow, but it can also be chewed. Take the K-Perle during meals.
MK-7 in All-Trans form
In nature, vitamin K is found in both trans and cis forms, depending on the spatial structure of the molecule. Only the trans form of MK-7 is biologically active, while the cis form has no biological activity. The K-Perle are in the all-trans form, and therefore more biologically active.
Vitamin K, like vitamins A, D, and E, belongs to the group of fat-soluble vitamins.
Vitamin K was discovered by Danish biochemist Henrik Dam in 1929, who also won the Nobel Prize for this discovery. This vitamin was named vitamin K, where K stands for coagulation (in German and Danish: Koagulation), which is the important ability of blood to clot and the time it takes. Subsequently, it was discovered that there are two main types of vitamin K: Phylloquinone (K1) and Menaquinone (K2). Additionally, there is a synthetic version of vitamin K, Menadione (K3), which is generally not used in dietary supplements.
Vitamin K2 exists in various forms, from MK-4 to MK-14. However, MK-10 and above are quite rare. The MK number refers to the length of the side chain made up of the so-called isoprene units of vitamin K. Dietary supplements generally use only MK-7 and MK-4.

Because vitamin K2 MK-7 stays longer in the body compared to vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 MK-4, the MK-7 version is considered more effective. Both K1 and K2 MK-4 are rapidly metabolized and eliminated from the body. The amount of vitamin K available in the liver, spleen, and lungs is quite limited.

It is vitamin K2 that specifically participates in the transport of calcium in bone tissue. The cells that form bones are called osteoblasts, and they produce a protein called osteocalcin which is activated by vitamin K, helping to transport calcium from the blood and blood vessels and fix it into the bone tissue, thus supporting normal bone function.
Vitamin K and Coagulation
Vitamin K also plays a fundamental role in the complex process of coagulation. Vitamin K is necessary for the formation of prothrombin and other coagulation factors called Factors VII, IX, and X.
