Kelo-Cote Gel is a transparent, self-drying silicone gel for the treatment of scars. Kelo-Cote Gel dries quickly forming a flexible and waterproof film that creates a protective barrier against chemical, physical, and microbial agents while also contributing to skin hydration. This gel creates an environment that promotes scar maturation by normalizing collagen synthesis and improving the aesthetic appearance of the scar.
Kelo-Cote Gel reduces, softens, and smooths scars, alleviates itching, discomfort, and pain associated with scars, and reduces color changes.
Silicone gels have been shown to be effective in the treatment of abnormal scarring in the form of hypertrophic scars and keloids. The International Clinical Guidelines of 2014 for scar management recommend the use of silicones as a first-line elective therapy in the treatment of linear hypertrophic scars and minor keloids as well as in the prevention of hypertrophic scars.
Intended use: Kelo-Cote Gel is indicated for the treatment and prevention of hypertrophic and keloid scars resulting from trauma, accidental wounds, surgical procedures, and burns. Kelo-Cote Gel is suitable for the face and body. Kelo-Cote Gel can be used on joints, in folds, and on hairy areas and extensive scars such as those caused by burns or significant trauma. Kelo-Cote Gel is suitable for use in children over 3 months of age and in people with sensitive skin.
Method of use
Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry. If using the 60 g tube, remove the cap and aluminum protection before use. For the 6 g and 15 g tubes, cut the tip of the applicator with clean scissors before application. Apply Kelo-Cote Gel to the area using a clean finger twice a day in a very thin layer and allow to dry. For maximum effect, Kelo-Cote Gel should remain in contact with the skin for 24 hours. Once dry, sunscreen or cosmetic products can be applied to the affected area. Replace the cap after use.
If Kelo-Cote Gel has not dried within 4-5 minutes, too much has probably been used. Gently remove the excess and allow the drying process to continue. The minimum recommended treatment time is 60-90 days. Larger and older scars may take longer, and if the improvement of the scar is visible, it is recommended to continue using the product after the first 90 days of application.

Kelo-Cote Gel may stain clothing if it is not completely dry. Keep away from heat sources and do not smoke when applying the product or while the product is drying. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date.
