Dietary supplement characterized by the combined action of scientifically recognized principles as agents useful for promoting the control of plasma cholesterol and triglycerides within the framework of an overall adequate diet. It is complemented by natural extracts with antioxidant action that can help the body during the evolution of oxidative processes.
       Rice Policosanols
These are substances composed of aliphatic alcohols of exclusively vegetable origin. As widely reported in the literature, treatment with such substances leads to an increase in the level of “good” HDL cholesterol and a decrease in the level of “bad” LDL cholesterol. Unlike monacolin K, policosanols do not inhibit cholesterol synthesis by inactivating the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme but decrease the number of molecules of this enzyme available for cholesterol synthesis.
       Fermented Red Rice with Monascus purpureus
Monascus purpureus is a yeast that, following fermentation on rice, produces various substances including not only the characteristic red pigment but especially many active components known as “monacols,” of which the most representative is “monacolin K” or “mevinolin” or “lovastatin.” Monacols, particularly “monacolin K,” having a very high affinity for the key enzyme of cholesterol biosynthesis (HMG-CoA reductase), form a bond with it that inhibits its function. In this way, fermented red rice helps to restore the so-called “bad” LDL cholesterol to physiological levels.
       Phytosterols
These are sterolic molecules present in the membranes of plant cells. Due to their structural analogies with cholesterol, phytosterols can compete at the intestinal level with dietary cholesterol, reducing its absorption. They can indeed be absorbed in place of cholesterol when present in adequate amounts in the intestinal lumen.
       Extramel® (SOD 14000 UI/g) from melon pulp
It is a substance obtained by extraction from melon pulp that has been made resistant to gastric juices. Melon pulp is a natural source rich in vitamins (C and E) and antioxidant enzymes, among which the most important is SOD (Superoxide Dismutase). Under conditions of oxidative stress, the body produces many free radicals including superoxide radical, which can generate other much more reactive and toxic radical species. In such situations, SOD can convert superoxide radical into less harmful substances and can thus control the oxidative process affecting the circulatory system caused by the peroxidation of LDL lipoproteins.
       OlivexTM (Polyphenols from olives)
The different Polyphenols present in olive oil (oleuropein, tyrosol, and hydroxytyrosol) are antioxidant substances structurally distinct from those contained in other plants. In Liposcudil, they can help prevent the oxidation of LDL lipoproteins.
       Grape seeds from Vitis vinifera
The extract from grape seeds is rich in polyphenolic substances with high antioxidant activity, the so-called oligomeric proanthocyanidins (also known by the acronym OPCs). These substances also contribute to inhibiting the peroxidation of LDL lipoproteins.
       Folic acid
Its main protective effect is expressed through the reduction of circulating homocysteine levels, an important marker of cardiovascular risks.

Dosage
It is recommended to take 1 capsule per day, preferably in the evening, immediately after the meal.

Contraindications
Do not use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, and in case of therapy with lipid-lowering drugs.

Warnings
Keep out of reach of children under three years old.
It is recommended not to exceed the indicated doses.
Supplements should not be understood as a substitute for a varied diet.

Storage
The expiration date refers to the product correctly stored, in an intact package. Store at room temperature (15°-30°C); avoid exposure to localized heat sources, sunlight, and contact with water.
