Description
Multilayer absorbent dressing consisting of four layers of polyurethane foam, with border, soft silicone Safetac contact layer, and a perforated structure with Flex Technology.
1) Highly breathable and liquid-impermeable polyurethane outer film. Provides a barrier against bacteria. The new dotted grid on the outer film allows for tracking exudate distribution without removing the dressing.
2) Distribution layer in perforated non-woven fabric thanks to Flex Technology. Distributes exudate evenly across the entire surface to maximize fluid management capacity.
3) Open-cell polyurethane foam layer for vertical absorption. Instantly absorbs exudate and prevents it from returning, protecting the peri-wound skin even under elastic compression.
4) Silicone Safetac contact layer with the wound. The soft silicone Safetac technology applied to Mölnlycke dressings minimizes patient pain and wound trauma even in critical situations or when exudate begins to dry:
- conforms to irregular skin surfaces to create greater contact area, allowing better distribution of the force needed for removal and preventing skin stripping;
- leaves no residue on the wound bed or healthy skin;
- seals the wound margins, preventing exudate from spreading onto peri-wound skin, minimizing maceration risks;
- does not adhere to moist surfaces such as open wounds but adheres to dry wound edges.
Mepilex Border Flex Lite is suitable for managing a wide range of wounds from non-exuding to moderately exuding, such as:
- pressure ulcers;
- lower limb ulcers;
- post-operative wounds;
- trauma wounds such as abrasions, blisters, and skin lacerations;
- can also be used to protect damaged and/or delicate skin.
Product features:

2. Proprietary Flex Technology ensures excellent conformability, with dressings capable of extending 360° to accommodate body movements and prevent detachment.
3. Can be left in place for several days depending on the wound and peri-wound skin condition.
4. Can be removed and repositioned without losing micro-adhesion properties.
5. Maintains perfect adhesion even under the shower.
6. Causes less damage to the wound and skin, minimizing pain during dressing changes.
7. Can also be used as part of prophylactic therapy to help prevent skin damage, e.g., pressure ulcers.
8. Proprietary protective film divided into 3 parts for the larger size, allowing precise and secure application, saving time and reducing waste.
9. Easy to apply.
10. Maintains structural integrity and leaves no residue in the wound or on surrounding skin.

Warnings
Do not use in sensitive patients. The product is generally well tolerated. No interactions with other substances have been detected.
In case of sensitivity in the treated area or signs of infection, consult healthcare personnel for appropriate anti-infection therapy.
Do not use with oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide (peroxide).
In case of infected wounds, use under medical supervision is recommended.
The polyurethane foam used in the product may discolor to yellow when exposed to light, air, and/or heat. This color change does not affect the properties of the product when used before the expiration date.
Do not reuse. Reuse may compromise effectiveness and cause cross-contamination.

Storage
Store in a dry place at a temperature below 35°C (95°F), protected from extreme humidity, dust, pollutants, etc.
Shelf life when packaging remains intact: 36 months.
