10 drops 3 times a day

COMPOSITION
The daily dose of 1.5 ml equal to 30 drops, in hydroalcoholic solution, contains:
-Harpagophytum procumbens (devil's claw) - roots 375 mg
-Boswellia carterii (frankincense tree) - resin 375 mg
-Uncaria tomentosa (cat's claw) - roots 300 mg
-Humulus lupulus (hops) - inflorescences 150 mg
-Lavandula officinalis (lavender) - flowering tops 150 mg
-Tanacetum vulgare (common tansy) - aerial parts 150 mg

PROPERTIES OF THE COMPONENTS
Harpagophytum procumbens:
The properties of Devil's Claw, defined as “plant cortisone,” are essentially anti-inflammatory and analgesic with a particular tropism for the osteoarticular system. Several hypotheses have been made so far about the mechanism of action for the anti-inflammatory effect, which, however, remains obscure.
Devil's Claw has been compared to corticosteroids, without exhibiting their contraindications, but the hypothesis of an involvement of the arachidonic acid cascade is controversial. Efficacy has been shown in both pharmacological and clinical studies, all very recent and mostly placebo-controlled: the administration of Devil's Claw would alleviate pain in chronic inflammatory processes affecting the joints.
Humulus lupulus:
Has a relaxing effect on striated muscles. Recent studies have demonstrated anti-inflammatory efficacy, as inhibitors of COX 2 and PGE. Clinically tested, it has given favorable outcomes in the treatment of arthritis.
Boswellia carterii:
The anti-inflammatory power and anti-arthritic activity of the gum resin of the plant are due to the presence of pentacyclic triterpenic acids, boswellic acids. The anti-inflammatory properties of boswellic acids are among the most powerful after pharmacological active principles. One of the demonstrated mechanisms is the blockage of the synthesis of products from the arachidonic acid cascade through selective inhibition of one of the enzymes, lipoxygenase. Furthermore, it is hypothesized that boswellic acids may act at the site of inflammation by inhibiting the abnormal proliferation of connective tissue. There are comparative studies on the efficacy of preparations based on Boswellia extract against the main non-steroidal anti-inflammatory molecules

Lavandula officinalis:
Studies confirm that lavender essential oil has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, primarily linked
to the polyphenolic fraction. The literature notes an overall improvement in pain symptoms, anxiety, depression, and the emergence of a state of relative well-being in chronic patients suffering from painful pathology.
Uncaria tomentosa:
The glycosides of quinovic acid (or chinovic) basically exert antiviral, anti-edema and anti-inflammatory action. The anti-inflammatory properties are also attributed to the significant presence of beta-sitosterol derivatives.
The demonstration of a real anti-inflammatory effect could explain the traditional use of
Uncaria in rheumatic pain. Currently, its action does not seem to involve
prostaglandins but seems directed towards an interaction with 5-HT2 receptors and a reduction of
TNF. At the intestinal level, extracts based on Uncaria tomentosa are capable of exerting an anti-inflammatory action, interfering with the NF-kB system.
Tanacetum vulgare:
Since ancient times, it has been used in the treatment of migraine and headache, an indication that modern
phytotherapy has recognized as primary for the plant. Clinical studies have indeed confirmed its efficacy. Sesquiterpenes, particularly parthenolide, are considered the active component responsible
for this action. The demonstrated mechanism of action so far is the interference of parthenolide with the
arachidonic acid cascade and particularly the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, mediated by
an inhibitory effect on phospholipase A2. This anti-inflammatory action of parthenolide seems to also involve interference with 5-lipoxygenase enzymes and activation of cyclooxygenase and nitric oxide synthase. The complexity of action has made further investigations necessary, which are still ongoing: parthenolide has indeed shown to inhibit platelet aggregation and serotonin release in pharmacological studies.
