Mucosamin mouthwash is a medical device with mainly protective action on the oral mucoses, made in accordance with Directive 93/42/EEC MDD. The product contains hyaluronic acid, the main component of connective tissue, and amino acids intended to promote collagen formation.
Mucosamin mouthwash, through the protective action exerted by its components, is designed to assist the regenerative process of the oral mucosa to promote quick healing of ulcerated areas and the concurrent reduction of pain. Mucosamin mouthwash, due to its properties, finds specific use in conjunction with the start of radiological or chemotherapeutic therapy to reduce the incidence of mucositis, in the treatment of mucositis from radiotherapy and chemotherapy, in ulcerative pathologies of the oral cavity (e.g., pemphigus, pemphigoid, erosive lichen planus), in recurrent aphthous stomatitis, following surgical interventions of the tongue and oral mucosa, in burning mouth syndrome (burning mouth syndrome).
It is a solution used to hydrate the oral mucosa, exerting a protective action.

Reduces sensitivity to external attacks by aiding in tissue repair of the oral cavity while maintaining and restoring physiological conditions.
Oral lesions are characterized by erythema and recurrent ulcers of the mucosa with burning pain of varying severity. Severe forms of mucositis have a heavy impact on quality of life and can compromise the ability to tolerate the planned therapeutic plan. Radiotherapy or chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis is a common side effect in cancer patients. Mucosal damage develops through an initiation phase followed by an amplification phase: the outcome is an ulceration phase followed by tissue repair in varying times.
Mucosamin mouthwash, due to its hydrating and protective characteristics for the oral mucosa, is indicated in conjunction with the start of radiological or chemotherapeutic therapy to reduce the incidence of mucositis. Mucosamin mouthwash, in the treatment of lesions of various etiology of the oral cavity, forms a film that covers and protects the ulcerated mucosa, promoting faster reduction of pain and burning. Hyaluronic acid and amino acids then act in the regenerative phase of mucositis and facilitate the repair of the oral mucosa.
After cleaning the oral cavity, rinse all over and the area of the lesion. It is always appropriate to combine a diet free of acidic or spicy foods.

Method of use
Perform three to four applications a day, using 5-10 ml of product and distributing it evenly throughout the oral cavity: keep in the mouth for at least one minute. Do not rinse after treatment. Gargling with the lower parts of the oral cavity is possible. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, the product can be used pure or diluted.

Warnings
Before treatment, remove any foreign material from the ulcerated area.

Storage
