INDICATIONS: PASCOE® BASENPULVER and PASCOE® BASENTABS pH-balance contain a mixture of carbonate mineral salts with added basic magnesium carbonate, which may help meet the daily requirement of magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, and zinc, promoting normal acid-base metabolism. Calcium and magnesium also contribute to normal muscle function and the maintenance of normal bones.

BASENPULVER
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 1 teaspoon (about 4 g) or one sachet, dissolved in a glass of water, preferably in the evening before bed. Do not administer to children under 4 years.
AVAILABLE PACKAGING: 100 g and 260 g powder, 30 sachets of 4 g.

BASENTABS
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: 6 to 8 tablets to be swallowed with plenty of water, preferably in the evening before bed. Do not chew. Do not administer to children under 4 years.
AVAILABLE PACKAGING: blister packs of 100 and 200 tablets.

ACID-BASE BALANCE
Energy metabolism generates an accumulation of metabolic waste that is eliminated through the intestines, kidneys, skin, and lungs. Many of these metabolic wastes are acidic and require proper neutralization to be eliminated.

How to determine the state of acidosis?
The easiest method to assess acidosis is to measure the pH value of the urine. pH test strips, useful for carrying out the measurement, are found inside the package.

Nutrition
A correct diet should include alkalizing foods for about 75% of daily consumption: fruits, vegetables, potatoes, cabbages, lettuce, salad. Among the acidifying foods are meat, poultry, deli meats, fresh and aged cheese, yogurt, starchy products, and sweets.
Many foods, while acidifying, are essential and must not be eliminated as they are a vital source of proteins and vitamins; however, their acidifying intake must be compensated with the consumption of alkalizing foods. If these measures do not suffice, a zinc-based supplement like BASENPULVER/BASENTABS may be useful.

Physical activity, lifestyle
