Rubis

Dietary supplement based on Orocyan®, highly purified extract of Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) and Pomegranate (Punica granatum). Thanks to the phyto-complexes it contains, it can promote the physiological well-being of the urinary tract.
       Cranberry (Vacciniummacrocarpon)
The main use of the Red Blueberry is in the prevention of recurrent urinary tract infections, due to its high content of Proanthocyanidins. It is known that uropathogenic bacteria colonizing the bladder epithelium facilitate the subsequent development of an infectious process, thanks to the adhesive capability of the P fimbriae, filaments present on the walls of uropathogenic bacteria. It has been shown that Proanthocyanidins extracted from the American Blueberry (PACs A and not PACs B) are responsible for inhibiting the adhesive capacity of the P-type fimbria, thus blocking the process of bacterial adhesion to uroepithelial cells. The Cranberry extract is also able to lower urinary pH, making it even more difficult for uropathogens to establish themselves.
       Pomegranate (Punica granatumL.)
The beneficial properties attributable to Pomegranate are mostly linked to its rich content of phenolic substances, particularly Ellagic acid, which has a high antioxidant power, and phytoestrogens. The Pomegranate, due to the substances it contains, has been attributed numerous beneficial properties including antibacterial activity and antioxidant activity; moreover, recent studies have confirmed encouraging effects on maintaining proper prostate functionality.
It does not contain gluten.

Ingredients
Orocyan: highly purified extract of cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon); extract of Pomegranate (Punica granatum).

Dosage
As an adjunct to pharmacological therapy after an episode of acute cystitis: 2 sachets 2 times a day for seven days. As a dietary supplement in the prevention of cystitis recurrences: 1 sachet 2 times a day (even in a single administration) for seven days a month. It should be taken by dissolving the sachet in abundant fresh water, preferably away from meals and on an empty bladder (for example, the evening before going to bed). During the use of Rubis, it is recommended to drink a large amount of water (1.5-2 liters per day) to promote the elimination of any present bacteria, with an adequate urinary flow.

Warnings
Do not take during pharmacological treatments with oral anticoagulants (Vitamin K antagonists, e.g., Warfarin-Cumadin). As a precaution, the use during pregnancy and breastfeeding is discouraged. Keep out of reach of children under three years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Dietary supplements should not be understood as a substitute for a varied diet.
