Indications
Dog ectoparasites sensitive to deltamethrin: prevention of tick infestations for 6 months; prevention of flea infestations for 4 months; prevention of sand fly bites for 5 months; repellent effect on adult mosquitoes (Culex pipiens pipiens) for 6 months. The repellent effect (anti-feeding) against sand flies also reduces the risk of visceral leishmaniasis transmission in dogs. The product can therefore be considered part of a prevention program against Leishmania infantum infection. The treatment provides a repellent effect against sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 12 months. To achieve complete protection against ticks, fleas, sand flies, and mosquitoes, it is recommended to replace the collar after 4 months from the first application, keeping the collar constantly worn from April to October. Since the product does not have a classic repellent action against ticks, the presence of ticks may still be observed after collar application. Parasites die once exposed to the active ingredient on the dog. Ingesting toxic amounts leads to hyperexcitability followed by paralysis and death. Consequently, it is unlikely that ticks can complete a blood meal.
Contraindications/secondary Effects
Do not use in dogs with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient. Do not use in puppies under 7 weeks old. Do not use in cats. Do not use the collar on animals with extensive skin lesions.
Dosage
Use 1 collar per subject; adjust the collar around the animal's neck without tightening. Cut off the excess part, leaving 5 cm from the buckle. The collar should preferably be applied 1 week before the animals are introduced into an infested environment, as full activity is reached after 1 week. It is recommended to treat all dogs present in the same environment. Bathing does not compromise the collar's effectiveness. The collar can be used in puppies over 7 weeks old.

Adverse Effects
In rare cases (more than 1 but less than 10 animals out of 10,000), local skin reactions (itching, erythema, hair loss) have been reported which affected the neck or general skin and may indicate a hypersensitivity reaction. In very rare cases (less than 1 animal out of 10,000, including isolated reports), behavioral changes (e.g., lethargy or hyper-reactivity) often associated with skin irritation have been reported. Very rarely, gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and hypersalivation have been observed. Very rarely, neurological problems such as ataxia and muscle tremors have been noted. Usually, symptoms resolve within 48 hours after removing the collar. If any of these symptoms appear, remove the collar. Treatment is symptomatic as no specific antidotes are known.

A 65 cm white collar contains: 1.000 g of deltamethrin.
Excipients
Diisooctyl adipate, soybean oil epoxy, a mixture of organic soaps of Ca-Zn, polyvinyl chloride, titanium dioxide (E 171), triphenyl phosphate.
Safety in Target Species
In case of accidental ingestion of the collar by the dog, the following symptoms may be observed: loss of coordination, tremors, hypersalivation. These symptoms are reversible within 48 hours. Treatment can only be symptomatic as no specific antidotes are known.

Precautions
In case of marked local irritation or allergic reaction, remove the collar immediately. Special precautions for handling the product around animals: wash hands with cold water and soap after applying the collar. Do not allow children to play with or put the collar in their mouth. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. If the collar contacts the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. People with known sensitivities to deltamethrin or other collar components should avoid contact with the product. If ocular or skin irritation persists, or if the product is accidentally ingested, seek medical attention immediately and show the package leaflet. Treated dogs should not sleep in contact with people, especially children. Other precautions: although casual contact with water does not reduce the collar's effectiveness, it should be removed before bathing or swimming, as the active ingredient is harmful to fish and other aquatic organisms. Dogs should not enter water for the first 5 days after collar application.
