Dietary supplement based on Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2, Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and fixation of Calcium at the bone level, to maintaining proper levels of calcium in the blood, and to maintaining normal bones and teeth.
Not only is Vitamin D3 necessary for proper bone densification and remineralization, in fact this vitamin allows Calcium to enter the bones, but to allow for its fixation, Vitamin K2 comes into play, which activates, through carboxylation, Osteocalcin, a protein that has the ability to fix Calcium to the bone. Excessive supplementation of Vitamin D3 not supported by adequate Vitamin K2 may produce an increase in Calcium deposits at the vascular and joint levels, causing arterial hardening and joint problems.
